Treated timber framing built to carry the load.

Carpentry & Roof Woodwork

Precision roof carpentry -- wall plates, rafters, purlins and noggins in treated, properly seasoned timber.

Overview

The covering only performs if the timber beneath it is sound. Our carpentry crews set out wall plates, rafters and purlins to the engineer's drawings, using treated and seasoned timber cut to consistent sizing.

We treat against termites and rot before any covering goes on, and we space members to suit the chosen roofing system rather than guessing. Good woodwork is invisible when it is done right -- and obvious within two seasons when it is not.

Why it matters

The benefits

Treated against termites

Timber is preservative-treated before installation to resist insects and rot.

Set out to drawings

Member sizes and spacing follow the structural design, not rule of thumb.

Seasoned timber

We avoid green timber that warps and pulls fixings loose as it dries.

Clean, accurate joints

Tight carpentry gives the covering a true, even plane to sit on.
